PENINGKATAN AKTIVITAS DAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA MELALUI PROBLEM SOLVING PADA MATERI PERKEMBANGAN ADMINISTRASI WILAYAH INDONESIA DI KELAS V/1 SD NEGERI 1 TAPAKTUAN ACEH SELATAN

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in class V / 1 of SD Negeri 1 Tapaktuan, South Aceh. The low results of student learning are caused by various factors, including teachers still using conventional learning models and repetition, causing the learning process to be passive and boring. One way to complete the activities of teachers, students, learning outcomes, and responses is to use problem solving models. This research is classified as a Class Action Research (classroom action research) model of Kemmis and Mc. Taggart. The study was conducted in semester 2 of the 2018/2019 school year in two cycles. The subjects of this study were 28 students in grade V / 1 SD Negeri 1 Tapaktuan, South Aceh. Data collection techniques used were tests, observations, and questionnaires. Data collection analysis techniques using quantitative and qualitative data. The results showed that there was completion in the 86% teacher activity categorized as very good, 94% student activity categorized as very good, the average grade of results 76.67 and 85.1% student responses that were categorized very well and achieved KKM. This means that research using the problem solving model on the material development of Indonesian administrative areas has been completed in cycle II. so, from the results of the above research, so that this research can become a guideline for the council of teachers to master and try to apply learning models such as problem solving models so that the learning atmosphere is more lively, varied, and proven to be effective in completing learning outcomes.
