MOTIVASI DOSEN DALAM MELAKUKAN KEGIATAN PENELITIAN (Penelitian di STAI Tapaktuan Aceh Selatan)
Abstract
Research activity is one of the breath of higher education that distinguishes it from school. This research culture is an effort that is no less important in an effort to improve the quality of lecturers. Therefore, lecturers are required to deepen and broaden scientific insights, especially regarding research methodology, so that they can face all changes in this globalization era. In reality, STAI Tapaktuan, South Aceh lecturers were found to have difficulty in conducting research activities, even some lecturers considered the research to be a "dead card," even though researching was the main task of lecturers in tertiary institutions. The results showed that lecturers conducting research were influenced by an increase in academic achievement to be achieved, such as for an increase in academic rank and also the fulfillment of life needs (economics) for the welfare of the lecturer concerned, in addition to other factors that influenced him.
